Baking with my Boys

After having the most delicious chocolate chip cookie ever at Butter's Mackenzie and 33rd location, I was inspired to learn to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie myself.  I usually visit Martha Stewart's website for cookie ideas and they are usually just okay.  So I picked up a copy of  Rosie Daykin's new cookbook in the hopes of making one as good as the one I had at the bakery.  With my favourite little helpers, I am happy to report, I finally made the best cookies ever!  Without doing a side by side taste test, I have to say the cookies turned out to be absolutely delicious and as perfect as the one I indulged in over the weekend.

Below are a few photos of our foray into making the perfect nutty chocolate chip cookies.

The inspiration.
Reading through the recipe.
A little bit of butter.
A little bit of sugar.
And combine.
Adding the chocolate chips and the walnuts. The recipe also called for pecans but we didn't have any so we just substituted more chocolate chips!
And combine again.

Ready to bake.
Freshly baked.
The final product.
